Twin Troublemakers

  Part I

"Alright Elsa, you got the supplies?" William Elijah Shane asked his twin sister, Elsa Isabel. Today the two young Shanes were planning to have the best day ever. Their mother, Elina Shane, was going out to have a day to herself after her husband, Eli, insisted she should while he would take care of their two kids.
"Yes Will, I got them all" the young female Shane said, gesturing to a large pile of various items.
"Alright, let's run through the list, just to make sure" Will said as he pulled out a notepad and pencil. He flipped through the notepad and various scribbles were seen through the pages. He finally came to the page he was looking for and put the pencil to the paper as he read off what was written down and Elsa held up the items he mentioned as he crossed them off his list.
"Whipped cream?"
"Check"
"Feathers?"
"Check"
"Buckets?"
"Check"
"Glue?"
"Check"
"Permanent Marker?"
"Check"
"Flopper slug?"
"Check"
"Whopping cushion?"
"Check"
"Cameras?"
"Check"
"And finally, lots of string?" Will asked
"Got it right here" Elsa replied as Elina's voice rang out.
"Kids! I'm leaving!" Elina said as the twins looked at each other with mischievous grins.
"It's go time" Will said as the two kids got up and ran out of the room to go say goodbye to their mother.
"Alright now go have fun Elina, and be careful okay?" Eli said as the twins ran out.
"Don't worry Eli, I'll be fine, in fact I think I should be more worried for you, you sure you'll be okay?" Elina questioned
"I'll be alright Elina" Eli replied.
"okay, now goodbye kiss" Elina said to her two kids as she bent down and Elsa and Will gave her a hug and a kiss on each cheek. When she straightened up she turned to see a grinning Eli. She rolled her eyes as she knew that ever since they were teenagers,whenever Eli grinned at her, that meant he wanted a kiss. "Alright you too" she said as they quickly kissed. Elina then grabbed her things and she turned to walk out. "And remember kids, try not to use your powers too much, no firing rammstones inside, and try not to cause too much trouble, I love you"
"Alright mom" Will said
"we love you too, bye" Elsa added
"Bye" Elina said as she walked out. Eli closed the door behind her and turned to his kids.
"Alright, who's ready for breakfast?" He asked as the Shane twins looked at each other and nodded.
"We are!" They said in unison as they ran to sit down at the table. Eli chuckled then walked over to the stove, oblivious as to what was going to happen next.
"So what are you making dad?" Elsa asked
"Your favorite, pancakes" Eli replied as he turned away to reveal a pan with a circle of batter in it and a plate with five pancakes. Each one having a pattern of a smiling face on them. He used to love them as a kid on the surface. So he made them every now and then for his own kids.
"Yay!" The twins said as a mischievous grin covered their faces. They turned to each other then nodded as Elsa got up and walked over next to her father. They soon started talking about something Will didn't pay attention to as he quietly got up and took the string and flopper slug with him. He walked over to a small space between the counters and the table and set up the string as a tripwire. He then carefully put down the Flopper and told it to walk out and into Eli's path when he passed by.The slug nodded as he quickly sat back down at the table before Elsa finished talking. If there was one thing his twin sister was good for besides having his back in a duel, it was for being a blabbermouth. She could go on and on about any topic, even the simplest things could drag out into the longest conversations for her. Elsa turned to look at him as he nodded which signaled that their first prank was set. She smiled as she sat down. Eli then turned around holding a plate stacked high with pancakes. He walked towards the twins as Will winked at the flopper. The small slug then walked straight into Eli's path. Eli looked down a second too late and ended up slipping on the slug. He quickly regained his balance without falling and the big stack in front of him stayed still. He breathed a sigh of relief and took one step forward. Right into the tripwire. Eli stumbled over the wire and the stack in front of him was airborne. His quick reflexes, which came from the many duels he's been in over the years, kicked in and Eli quickly caught five pancakes. Elsa counted the stack and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"I thought you made six" she said. Eli counted what was in the stack and sure enough, there was only five. He looked up and a circular pancake with a smiling face landed well, on his face. Eli looked back at his kids and the happy face pancake slid onto the floor revealing a unhappy faced Eli. The young twins giggled as Eli put down the plate at the table. He cleaned up the mess on the floor and sat down with his kids. Little did he know this was just the beginning.

Part II

After breakfast Eli cleaned up. He washed the dishes and disabled the tripwire. However he still couldn't figure out who set it up. There were a lot of mischievous slugs around, including his Infurnus, Burpy. But his other slugs also loved to pull pranks and cause mayhem. He quickly shoved the thought aside and continued cleaning. Once he finished, he then went to go take a shower. The twins saw this as the perfect opportunity to set up their next prank. Will and Elsa grabbed the buckets, some feathers, the glue,and of course, the string. This was going to be one messy prank.
"Alright Elsa, you set up the buckets and I'll set up the wire"  Will told his sister
"Okay, and let's hurry" Elsa said. She took out the buckets and started filling them with sticky glue and small white feathers. Will took out the spool of string and carefully set up the trigger wires. He tied the end of the first wire to the bucket filled with glue, so it would fall on Eli first. About a foot away he set up another trigger wire. This one he tied to the bucket filled with feathers.
"Alright Elsa, you got the buckets ready?" Will asked his sister
"Almost" she replied. Doing this prank took a little math and science. Elsa had to fill the bucket with some water so the glue would flow out easily but not so much water that it would affect the stickiness of the glue.
"Well hurry up, dad is going to come out any minute"
"Alright and, done!" She said as she held up the two buckets
"Great, now let's set them up" Will said as he took a bucket. Elsa took the other bucket and they carefully placed them against a doorframe. The sound of water turning off in the bathroom caused the Shane twins to make sure the buckets were ready and scurry off. They hid in their room and listened through the door. Eli soon walked out of the bathroom in his usual outfit, his hair still dripping wet. He whistled a casual tune as he closed the door behind him. He felt something was a little off, but he shook off the thought and headed towards the couch. He took only a few steps before he tripped the first trigger wire. The bucket filled with sticky glue came crashing down and onto Eli. He yelped and staggered forward, into the second trigger wire. The bucket filled with white feathers crashed down and covered Eli from head to toe. The twins peaked out of their room and held back their laughter as they saw their successful prank. Eli coughed out a few feathers and picked the rest off his tongue. He turned around and headed back into the bathroom to take another shower as Will and Elsa laughed behind their closed door.
"Did you see his face?" Elsa said between laughs
"Yeah, that was awesome!" Will replied
"Now let's see how we can top it" Elsa said with her mischievous grin. The twins high fived and got ready for their next prank.

Part III

After Eli took his second shower, which took a lot longer than expected, he went on to cleaning up and making lunch. Elsa and Will pretended to be practicing outside, when in reality, they were waiting for the perfect time to launch their next prank. Eli soon called the kids inside to enjoy lunch. After he checked for any tripwires of course. After lunch, the twins went back outside. Eli would've gone too, but he was tired after a late night video game off with Will. Eli decided to lay down and relax a little until Elina got home. He laid down on the couch and slowly dozed off. Elsa peaked through a window and saw her father fast asleep. She turned to her twin brother and nodded. He understood the signal and they headed back inside. They both had to be really careful with this prank. After Eli's many years of protecting Slugterra, his senses and reflexes were pretty much over developed. Especially when he was sleeping. Elsa and Will slowly crept inside and headed towards their room to get the necessary supplies for this prank.
"Alright Will I got the big feather and the whipped cream" Elsa said to her twin
"Good, hey have you seen the marker? I was sure I put it down right here but now it's gone" Will replied. The twins thought for a moment before coming to the same conclusion.
"Banger"
"well that'll make our job a little easier" Elsa said. Will nodded in agreement as Elsa handed him the can of whipped cream. They both slowly crept out of their room and towards the couch. Eli was still fast asleep, but it looks like Banger and his other slugs beat Will and Elsa to part of their prank. Eli was laying on the couch on his back with his right hand hanging over the edge, which was perfect for the slugs since they had enough room to move around on him and draw on his face. Eli had a marker mustache and monocle and the words "Burpy is awesome" scribbled onto his forehead. The twins had to hold back their laughter while Eli's slugs giggled from a distance. Will slowly kneeled down near Eli's right hand while Elsa hid behind the couch with the feather. Will shook the can he held and poured the white cream onto Eli's right hand carefully so it wouldn't wake him up. He then quietly got up and made his way around the couch towards his sister. He nodded and they both got up and Elsa dangled the feather near Eli's nose. His nose twitched but nothing else  happened. Elsa tried again, but for longer. Eli sleepily rubbed his nose as the white cream spread across his face. The twins held back their giggles and quickly darted back into their room.

Part IV

About a half hour later a yelp was heard. The twins ran out and saw that their dad finally awoke and saw their prank. He was rinsing off the whipped cream and tried his best to get the marker off with no luck. Elsa and Will broke out into laughter along with the slugs. The sound of a Mecha Beast pulling up startled everyone. Elsa looked out the window and saw it was Luna, Elina's mecha.
"It's mom!" She announced. Eli tried his best to clean off the marker but all that happened was a slight smudge. Eli groaned in frustration as Elina's voice rang out.
"Guys? I'm home!" She said as her footsteps were heard. She poked her head inside as Elsa and Will gave her big hugs. Elina giggled and walked in. At first she didn't want to leave Eli alone with the kids for the day, knowing how reckless they could be. But she had to admit, it was kind of nice having a day off. In the end though, she missed Eli and their kids. Elina gave Elsa and Will a kiss and turned to Eli. When Eli turned around Elina held back a little laughter.  "Oh m-my…w-what happened?" She asked when she saw Eli's marker facial hair and monocle. Eli was about to respond when Elina's favorite slug, Blaze, hopped out holding a camera
"I think this might be able to explain" Blaze chirped. Elina took the camera and looked at the one thing on it. She played the video and saw all the pranks that Elsa and Will played on Eli, that day.
"So that's where I left the camera" Will said before his eyes widened and he turned to Elsa "hey Elsa, where did you leave the whopping cushion?" He whispered to her. Eli then sat down on a chair and the sound of a whooping cushion deflating roared out. Everyone in the room burst into laughter as Eli's cheek's turned a light shade of pink. "Nevermind" Will said between laughs. Elsa and Will high fived. This was the perfect end to the best day ever. But of course in the end they had to clean up the messes they made. The End…
